CBIT Hosts HackIndia 2025 Regional Hackathon – A Celebration of Innovation, AI & Web3

Hyderabad, April 12, 2025 – The campus of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) buzzed with energy and innovation as it hosted HackIndia 2025, India’s largest Web3 & AI-focused hackathon, on April 11–12, 2025. Held in association with HackIndia, the 36-hour offline regional hackathon brought together brilliant young minds from across the nation.


Over 500 teams (1710 participants) from 60+ prestigious colleges registered for the event, out of which 60 high-performing teams were shortlisted for the on-campus round at CBIT. Participants competed in three intensive rounds of evaluation, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in Web3 and AI.


 Top 3 Winning Teams

  1. Qwikzen – Vasavi College of Engineering Hyderabad (1st Position).

  2. The Bug Slayers – Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology Hyderabad (2nd Position).

  3. Endeavour – Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur (3rd Position).




These teams earned their spots in the prestigious national finals in Delhi, where they will compete for a grand prize pool of $150,000 (₹1.2 crore).


The event was inaugurated by Prof. C.V. Narsimhulu, Principal, CBIT, who officially declared the hackathon open with an inspiring address. The opening ceremony was graced by notable guests including Mr. Uma Desu, Chief AI Officer, Mr. Simon, official HackIndia representative, and Prof. U.K. Choudhary, esteemed Advisor of Innovation and Incubation, who shared valuable insights that energized the participants.





Organized by the HICON Club CBIT, the hackathon received strong support from AICTE IDEA Lab and IISC Club, with key guidance from faculty coordinators Dr. A. Sirisha, Smt. Sujatha Gupta, Dr. Y.C.A. Padmanabha Reddy, Dr. R. Ravinder Reddy, and Smt. Swathi Tejah.

The valedictory ceremony featured Mr. M. Naveen Kumar, Assistant Director at MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Hyderabad, as the chief guest. He urged students to harness their technical skills to build impactful innovations and emphasized the role of entrepreneurship in driving India’s future.


HackIndia 2025 at CBIT was a grand success—a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, and the boundless potential of India’s tech-driven youth. It offered students a unique platform to collaborate, innovate, and transform ideas into reality using cutting-edge technologies.
